I raced modifieds Englewood with Sammy #60 that car was owned by Ralph young,and was as fast as they say it was,Sammy was my instructor, he would raise hell with me when I came back into the pit,and was right,and I went on and never forgot what he taught me,there was three of us ,my car #3, Bill Ray and Sammy. Bill Ray was the engine builder for my car,and could literally,unbolt it and reach in pick it up onto the table and would spend the night at the shop, and have it rebuilt and racing the next night,Sammy built his own engines.My car was sold after the 68-69 season and went back East to set a lot of track records.Ray drove #13.
